This is George the monkey. My Grandma Jan gave me him over the weekend. He is super soft and nice to sleep with. As you can see I love him berry much. Don't you?

POPS

These came in the mail in a package and if I jump on them they pop open and make a loud snapping noise. They are really fun and after jumping on them a few times I named them "Pops".

My favorite dress made by my Auntie Brit

I have been practicing my language skills lately by repeating everything my parents say back to them in a question. My Mommy will say,"We are going to store to look for a bed for you Lussi." and I say back, "Are we going to the store to look for a bed for me Mommy!?" There are a few words I have trouble saying. I call the Museum the "Mooseum" and Music is "moosik" I also say "Memeber that Mommy?" The other day my Mommy was commenting that she and I were the only ones eating the huge watermelon in the fridge and I said, "Is Daddy sick of watermelon Mommy?" That one surprised my Mommy, she didn't know I knew how to use that word that way.

My own sleeping style

My Mommy caught me sleeping because I like to sleep on my pillow sideways. I get very annoyed with my Mommy & Daddy because they come in and change me. I always end up back like this though. It feels right to me.

Hot Summer Silly Time

I've seen my mommy wear a head band and so when I found this in my drawer, I knew exactly what to do. What do you think? It makes me feel silly.

My Friend Lilly

On Fridays we walk on the Lakewalk with a bunch of people. Almost every Friday, Lilly comes and I like to play with her. We go to Amazing Grace and get scones and then we play at the beach. Usually we just throw rocks in the water but today it was so hot we all got naked and went in. It's still too cold for diving in, and as you can see I turned right around after getting my feet wet. That was enough for me!

Beach Time

We went to visit Grandma Jan on the Lake and I got to swim and kayak. I like to stay in the water until my teeth chatter and my lips turn blue.

July 1st, 2006 Courtney and Kelly's Wedding

Ian and I had lots of fun at Courtney's wedding. Ian liked eating the sand and rubbing it in my hair. I liked running around on the beach and playing in the water.

My Own Sense of Style

I love going to the shop with Mommy because there is so much to get in to and my Mommy is always so distracted that she often doesn't notice what I'm doing. Today I found the stash of stickers and decorated my shirt. Do you think I have a future in design? I thought it looked pretty cool.

My new favorite park

Yay! I have my own park in my backyard. I ask every morning now, "Can I go out and see my slide?" My mommy and daddy are just as excited as I am because I say to them every day sometimes many times during a day, "I want to go to the park." or "I want to go to the Grant park" or "I want to go to Chester." It was wearing on my parents so now I just have to open the sliding glass door and I am in my new park.

Saying goodbye

These are all my friends at daycare. Momma Sandy is quitting and so I am moving to a new place. This was my last day. I will really miss Sandy's daughter Sara, she is my favorite. Mommy says we will go back to visit this summer though. I am moving to June's house and so far I love playing there too. My best friend Graham goes there so I know I will like it.

Uncle Kai

My Uncle Kai came home from college and I am so excited! I get really funny when he's around and I want to show him everything. I make him lay down on the couch and pretend he is sleeping and I say, "Goodnight sweetheart, sleep tight, I'll see you in the morning." Recently, he took me to the zoo and to the park. At night I ask my mommy, "I want to see Kai."

I'm a Big Girl!

My mommy dressed me up for Memorial day. It has been a month since she wrote last and I am changing a lot lately. Not necessarily in size but I am sleeping in a big girl bed all night. I really like that when I wake up I can just get up and go say "Good Morning" to my mommy and daddy. I will admit that I was scared for the first two weeks and I kept crying and saying, "I want my crib, I want my crib!" I am also beginning to use the potty all the time and have gone all day in one pull-up. Sometimes I start going poopy and I yell, "Mommy I have poopy!" I run to my potty and I finish there. I am so proud of myself that I do a potty lap around the living room, clapping and skipping. As you can see by my sweater I usally get a sticker! I like that a lot.

No I didn't get beat up by a monkey but I did have pink eye. As you can see it wasn't very fun and I was miserable for a couple of days. Mommy likes to take pictures of me when I'm sick. Thanks Mommy.

HAPPY EASTER!

I got really sick yesterday and was fighting 104 degree fever. Today I am a little weak and shaky but I forgot all my troubles when I saw what the Easter Bunny left me! He hid eggs all over the house with stickers and candy inside. He even left me some sidewalk chalk and bubbles in a basket.

My first big boo-boo

Ouchie! I was on my way to my 2 year check up and I tripped and fell on my wooden baby cradle. Mommy thought I might need stitches but it turned out it was just a deep cut. I cried and cried and cried and said, "I have blood!" I got a sticker at the doctor for being such a good patient. I am 33.5 inches tall and 23 pounds. I have a head in the 92nd percentile but my weight is in the 8th. Doctor says that's why I fell on my head... I'm a little top heavy right now.

I turned two!!!

This was a really fun day for me! I had lots friends, cousins, aunts, uncles and Grandma and Grandpa there. We ate lunch at a little kid table set up with my tea party plates and silverwear. I actually let my friends play with my toys, I am really trying to be a good sharer. Thank you everyone for making my day special!

My Auntie Tia had a hard time getting me to cooperate for the camera because I am a typical two year old constantly on the move exploring and discovering. I am trying to smile for the camera can't you tell!

We spent the weekend moving Grandma & Grandpa to their new house! I love to run around the new living space. I have found secret hiding spots in cubbies and a great place to read books. Yay! I like this place.
